Practicing mindfulness
throughout the day is one of the first habits you must work on, because it will
bring positive effects in all areas of your life. By being aware, you enjoy
more day to day, you are more in tune with your own needs and, most
importantly, you will begin to enjoy the present.
The fundamental thing
is to create opportunities throughout the day to be mindful and get your
attention back to the moment.
Concentrate on breathing
It is not about taking
thousands of breaths throughout the day, but taking deep, purifying and
soothing breaths. It is beneficial to start the day by taking some deep breath,
holding it and exhaling slowly. It is also good to do it throughout the day, to
stay calm.
After this breathing,
there is a physical reaction when you consciously slow down your breathing.
This happens because more oxygen is entering the brain and the heart rate is
lowered. This is the simplest and most powerful tool that needs to be added
into life.
Eliminate distractions
We are all responsible
for trying to be more efficient with our time, but it is important to slow down
and start learning again to do one task at a time. There are times when you
need to get rid of distractions in order to concentrate on what you have in
hand.
